In this workshop we stretch and strengthen parts of the body that help you walk well in the woods and on the sidewalk. Whether you hike for pleasure or exercise, walking is an essential human movement and we can all benefit from learning how to walk with more ease and less pain. Whether you hike for pleasure or exercise, walking is an essential human movement and we can all benefit from learning how to walk with more ease and less pain.
This workshop takes participants through a series of exercises that target all your walking parts – from toes and ankles, to knees, hips, head and shoulders. Expect to get a little bit nerdy (in a fun way!) about what parts help you walk well, and what parts may be shortening your stride, setting you off balance, contributing to twingy knees and more. We’ll practice targeted moves and learn techniques that you can take right out to the roads, paths and hills to get you moving better through the world.
A workshop pass is required. Come as you are. All are welcome.
