general Yoga Classes

  • This style of class focuses on melding movement with breath. This is an all levels class, appropriate for beginners and experienced students. There are modifications for all levels so you can choose your own adventure based on what feels like an appropriate challenge for you. This class includes breathwork and meditation to center and ground and moves into a flow of floor stretches, balance postures, sun salutations, twists, backbends, strength building and hip openers.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • This class is similar to Vinyasa Flow but moves at a slower pace, holding poses for longer and focusing on the 6 movements of the spine and 4 sides of the leg/hip. We begin laying on the floor and focusing on breathwork and a body-scan and then move into gentle stretches to open the body before moving to standing balance poses and sun salutations, then return to the floor for closing postures and savasana (rest) with an optional spritz of Doterra lavender essential oil.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • This is an all levels Vinyasa and Yin class fused together to help bring you to the blissful balance between effort and ease. This class begins as a vinyasa flow class with focus on uniting the breath with movement. After warming up with movement and flow, the second half of the class moves into a yin style class where we slow down and surrender to poses for a deeper slower stretch.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • Yoga Nidra or ‘yogic sleep’ is a meditative practice that invites a deep state of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. One hour of this practice is equivalent to 4 hours of regular sleep and helps lower stress, improve mental clarity, and increase energy.

You will be guided into the dreamlike space between sleep and wakefulness— into a state of deep relaxation where breathing and thoughts are slowed while you are laying on your back supported and cocooned in blankets and props either on the floor or in the aerial hammocks. The aerial hammocks provide full support of the body to rest securely in during the guided meditation.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • During these special workshops participants lay in a restful posture and allow the vibrations of crystal singing bowls to wash over them. Crystal singing bowls are played during this class to help clear energy and further nourish the body and soul while you are guided into rest. The sound waves of crystal singing bowls help to both nourish and energize the nervous system. The vibrations help to shift stuck or blocked energy and restore balance to the body. They also help guide the mind and body into a state of relaxation.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • This is an all levels Qigong and Yin class combined to relax the mind, calm the emotions and raise the spirit. In this class we will incorporate yin yoga to move into the joints and layers of connective tissue; and the practice of Qigong (energy movement) to clear stagnant energy and cultivate balance. This class may also incorporate self-massage techniques and short meditations to move inward. Some basic Chinese medicine theory and a small amount of anatomy and physiology will be shared to create better understanding.

The class focus will shift with the seasons as our energy levels and needs change with the natural rhythms of the seasons. During each season we will bring awareness and light to the organs of the body associated with that season to cultivate a better understanding of the aspects of our health and wellbeing directly connected to them. The alignment of our movements with the seasons helps us to stay physically and emotionally healthy throughout the year.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • This style of yoga uses props to hold poses for longer periods of time to stretch into the deeper connective tissues throughout the body. It helps to strengthen, hydrate and lengthen the connective tissues in the joints and facia, helping to improve mobility and flexibility. Appropriate for all levels.

We are often more of a yang culture— active and on the go— the practice of yin yoga is based in stillness and receptivity and can be very balancing to our more active ‘yang’ culture.

Come as you are. All are welcome.

  • This class is similar to a vinyasa flow class except it starts and ends with savasana, a relaxing pose, and includes more breathwork. During this class we flow through a series of basic poses including inversions, back bends , forward bends , twists, lateral flexion.
