Floating Yoga Nidra Workshop

Lay in an aerial hammock, cocooned and gently swaying above the ground, while being guided through the Yoga Nidra meditation.

Yoga Nidra or ‘yogic sleep’ is a meditative practice that invites a deep state of  physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. In this workshop you will be guided into the dreamlike space between sleep and wakefulness— into a state of deep relaxation where breathing and thoughts are slowed while laying in an aerial hammock-gently swaying and cocooned just above the ground.

This workshop is appropriate for beginners and all levels. One hour of this practice is equivalent to 4 hours of regular sleep and helps lower stress, improve mental clarity, and increase energy.

A workshop pass is required. All are welcome.

If you are interested in learning the tools to lead a fun and safe kids aerial yoga class this training is for you. This training covers youth specific aerial yoga including flips and tricks and safety considerations with kids including but not limited to kid specific group management, sequencing and modifications.

Our training emphasizes safety and fun with clear, concise cueing and sequencing. Aerial Yoga Poses are broken down into digestible steps including modifications and considerations. During the weekend students will also have time to practice teaching to their classmates. Students are asked to observe public kids classes at the studio and create an aerial yoga sequence to teach kids.

Low & Slow Kids Aerial Yoga

Join us for a special one-time kids aerial yoga class where we focus on allowing kids time to desensitize from outside stimulus in the hammocks. This is a slower paced kids class with a little less structure and lower hammocks. This is a great class for kids who like more time to process the world around them and benefit from having less sensory input to help regulate their nervous system. This class is appropriate for ages 6 and up. This class incorporates basic aerial poses low to the ground that help build strength and focus as we relax and play in the silk hammocks. There is always a lot of laughter in this class and playful exploration is encouraged! Every pose is 'challenge by choice' and kids can decide what feels best for them as they build confidence. When signing your child up please sign in with your account and we will add their name at their first class. Please do not sign your child up for aerial yoga if they have very high or very low blood pressure, have had any recent surgery or herniated or slipped discs or any other contraindications of aerial yoga.

Growing up in this fast-paced, over-scheduled world can be stressful, and kids of all ages (especially tweens and teens) need tools to counteract their stress. In this class, tweens and teens will explore yoga poses, partner poses, and some restorative practices that they replicate easily at home on their own. We will also explore mindful breathing techniques for both invigorating their minds and finding an inner calm.

Join me to learn or refine your balance in the canoe at the Maine Canoe Symposium on June 3rd! I will be hosting water-based sessions to learn about body alignment in your canoe to feel balanced and centered while you paddle, pole, pass the snacks or get rocked by a wave. Learn body positioning and play around with balancing on the gunwales!

Yoga Nidra With Crystal Singing Bowls

Yoga Nidra or ‘yogic sleep’ is a meditative practice that invites a deep state of  physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. This is a great workshop for beginners and all levels.

One hour of this practice is equivalent to 4 hours of regular sleep and helps lower stress, improve mental clarity, and increase energy. You will be guided into the dreamlike space between sleep and wakefulness— into a state of deep relaxation where breathing and thoughts are slowed while you are laying on your back supported and cocooned in props. The props provide full support of the body to rest securely in during the guided meditation.

Crystal singing bowls are played during this class to help clear energy and further nourish the body and soul. The sound waves of crystal singing bowls help to both nourish and energize nervous system. The vibrations help to shift stuck or blocked energy and restore balance to the body. They also help guide the mind and body into a state of relaxation.
